Star Wars!

Iron Circle is starting to ramp up its interest in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Many of us have already pre-ordered and we are looking forward to playing and getting to know some new members who will be playing with us in Star Wars. Anyone interested in playing with us at release needs to please post on our forums and we'll be sure to contact you.

Forum Upgrade Completed

The portal/forum upgrade has been completed. If you have any problems with anything please let me know. Some people may have problems with logging in. There is a fix, but you'll need to contact me. Log into Vent or send me an email.

Iron Circle in Darkfall

Iron Circle has officially formed in the world of Darkfall! We're knocking the dust off and cleaning the cobwebs out the corners as we get a breath of fresh air with Darfall Online.

Our doors are once again open to new recruits! New recruits should take a look at our application forums and check out our rules and vision statment so you understand what kind of guild we are and the level of maturity we expect from our players. There is a decade of history in Iron Circle and it is important to understand that so you understand how and where you might fit in within our online family.

So old and new alike, saddle your horses, pack your bags, and get ready to partake in another great journey.

It's been months since we've had a news update on this page. Warhammer has come and gone, another game high on promises and low on delivery. You don't have to wonder why so many gamers have become so cynical regarding anything that game developers say about their games. Most Devs have proven to have delusions of grandeur or are consummate spin doctors.

Darkfall Online is finally going to release. We've been following this game for years. Now, finally, we'll see if it's all that the developers have said it will be. Hope renews itself yet again while Iron Circle plans for the European release.

Warhammer Online

Some of us are going to bite the bullet and give Warhammer a try. We need a game to play. After the fiasco that was Age of Conan, we in IC are all a little leary of hopping into WAR. However given the track record of Mythic, we're plunking our $50 down once again.

We are still watching Darkfall Online (aka Vaporfall)and hoping that it will become reality. At least Adventurine is finally talking about a beta date. In the mean time, we think we can have some fun in WAR.

We are recruiting new members/players. Check out the Guild Information and Applications forum for details. If the information there doesn't answer all your questions, then send me a PM once you've registered for the boards.

Age of Conan US Launch: 20th of May 2008 - 9 am GMT

Ready, set, go... Those who didn't get into the Early Access can start playing at 9am GMT... That is 5:00AM Eastern, 2:00AM Pacific. This was originally scheduled to start at 7:00AM GMT, but they have now delayed it by two hours.

Age of Conan - Early Access

We have been surprised at the relatively smooth Early Access phase of Funcom's release of Age of Conan. Looking past the confusing and frustrating for many limited access to early access, we've experienced little of the lag, stutters, fits and starts that we expected. The game performance has increased dramatically since the Open Beta two weeks ago.

Funcom's previous foray into MMO's with Anarchy Online saw a game that wasn't ready for prime time 3 months after release with frequent crashes, unplayable lag and frustrated subscribers struggling to play a game that should have still been in beta. Apparently they learned their lessons well.

I remember crashes, queue's and many days of free play added to my account in the early days of World of Warcraft due to long server down times, 30 minute queue's and Blizzard practically begging people to move to other servers.

So far I have to say, good job Funcom!
