As someone who is interested in our guild, we realize that you may have
questions about Iron Circle. If you have a question that is
not answered here, please post your questions and we will answer them.
We are a guild primarily focused on player versus player combat and take a serious, organized approach towards playing the
game. We are an honorable guild with a mature player base that expects it members to play honorably whether in regular PvE (player versus environment) or PvP (player versus player). Members are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times.
No, we don't have an age requirement. Our membership varies in age from 15 to 60. However, our members are primarily mature gamers. We expect all members to conform to our "guild culture". We won't change the guild for you.
We expect mature behavior from our members. This includes player actions as well
as character names. Names like "asdf0o#($eeeeeeeqwz", "s1u7gr1", or "urtehsuk" won't fly.
If it's a stupid, suggestive, or offensive name you aren't going to win any points with us. If
deemed necessary by the guildmaster, you would be asked to change such a name or reroll a
new character.
Yes, we are currently using TeamSpeak3 TeamSpeak. We require all members
and recruits to use it. We have found that voice helps greatly in PvP and makes gaming a lot more fun.
You will need to download the client and get a headset with microphone if
you don't already have one. Directions for setting up the client and connecting to the server are
found on our message boards in the "Member Announcements" section.
We are playing TERA and will be on the Basilisk Crag server.
There are two ways to contact our members. One is ingame, send any of them a tell and they will be more then happy to answer any question you have. Secondly is by using these forums.
Iron Circle accepts all races and classes, as long as game mechanics allow it. In games involving factional or realm play, obviously only characters belonging to the faction/realm we play will be allowed. There is no
minimum level requirement for membership. However, we do expect that our
members take the game seriously and devote the time required to make their
character a viable, useful member of the guild.
In general, only a single character on an account will be guilded until
that character reaches a competitive level. The reason for this is because the guild expends a
significant amount of resources helping members level and acquire the items
and equipment that they need. Players who create alternate characters or
frequently "re-roll" characters put an undue burden on the other
members of the guild. There are exceptions to this, such as those who play
more than one account at the same time (ie: double-box) or those who are
creating crafter characters. In all cases, the Guildmaster makes the final
determination if it is acceptable to guild multiple characters for a
single player.
Members may only belong to Iron Circle in any game that we are playing. Because of the competitive nature of the games we play, a player belonging to multiple guilds is not acceptable and grounds for immediate removal from Iron Circle. The reason for this is that divided loyalty helps no one. We want your full attention and time on one guild whether it is Iron Circle or another. Spreading yourself between two or more guilds means that none of your characters will be at their best. Note that this only applies to characters in games where we have an active presence. There is no problem with having characters in other guilds in games that we do not support.
Depending on the game and at the discretion of the GM, a member may have a character in another guild on a different server. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis. This situation would still produce the same divided time, divided loyalty issues as mentioned above so the reasons for such a request are important.
To join Iron Circle, you must register for our message board and answer the questions posted in the applicants forum. Once your application has been accepted, you must contact Kaliaa and be invited to join as a Recruit.
Once this is done, you begin a minimum two months probationary period during which you will learn more about the guild and get to know the other members. We expect you to be actively involved both on the message boards and in game. Two months is the minimum time spent as a recruit. Your play time, interactions with members and participation in guild events all effect the length of time spent as a recruit. Iron Circle is not an exclusive guild, however we do want players who will fit well with our current members, our philosophy and play style.
Iron Circle does not rule out the possibity of someone returning to the
guild. However, this issue will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the Guildmaster. It will
depend on your reasons for leaving, how you left and why you would want to come back.
Whether you had one character leave and then wanted to rejoin with another
would have no bearing on whether you were invited back or not.
A member would be asked to leave the guild if he or she broke one of our
rules, or their activities were deemed by the leadership to be detrimental
to the welfare of the guild as a whole.
